Barkın Akın

Born in 1984 in Tekirdağ, Barkın Akın graduated from Yeditepe University with a degree in Business Administration. He then studied Gastronomy at the same university for two years, completing a double major. After working for many years in the food industry, he established Barel Vineyards in 2010, rooted in his family connections in Tekirdağ. For the past 14 years, he has been producing wine there and managing a vineyard restaurant. Additionally, Akın is a WSET Level 3 graduate, with a significant qualification in the alcoholic beverages sector.

Chef Ali Siyar of Dede Restaurant, which has been awarded two Michelin stars in Ireland, designed the “Winemakers Dinner" menu.
